TRAVEL TOOLS, GREAT GADGETS & COOL STUFF TO DO
Please Don’t Kiss the Frog
Zoo regulations prohibit kiss-
ing the animals, but here’s your
chance to meet an endangered
Panamanian golden frog up
close and personal over break-
fast. On June 2 and 3, enjoy
Breakfast with the Panamanian
Golden Frogs, hosted by the
Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast,
ask questions and hear from
people who are working on
the front lines to prevent the
extinction of the golden frogs.
Panamanian golden frogs in
the wild are falling victim to a
fungal disease and face imminent extinction. The Maryland
Zoo is a founding member of
Project Golden Frog, a multinational collaboration to save
these exotic creatures.
Free zoo admission is included in the breakfast price,
so take the rest of the day to
visit the other 1,500-plus birds,
mammals, amphibians and
reptiles, representing nearly
200 species.
The Maryland Zoo is in
Druid Hill Park, less than 10
minutes from Baltimore’s Inner
Harbor. Breakfast with the Panamanian Golden Frogs will be
from 8: 30 to 10 a.m. on June 2
and 3. Cost is $20 for zoo members, $30 for nonmembers.
