TRAVEL TOOLS, GREAT GADGETS & COOL STUFF TO DO
I Love the ’90s
It hasn’t even been 10 years, but
like it or not, the ’90s are back
Are you ready to once again sport a fade, wear
Hammer pants and carry a ridiculously sized
boombox on your shoulder? Neither are we. But
it looks like the ’90s are making a not-so-long-awaited comeback. Fortunately, the styles and
media making encore appearances aren’t so bad.
Check out what’s to come (again):
Looks: No, you won’t have to pull your Flavor
Flav clock necklace out of storage—yet. But you
may want to dust o your overalls, because those
are back in. Also hitting stores once again are jeans
in more colors than “dark” and “regular.” You can
also expect to see a revival of preppywear, including loafers and sweater vests.
Music: Were you down with STP? (That’s
Stone Temple Pilots for you ’90s haters.) Well,
they’re back. They just completed a 65-stop tour in
October. Prefer something a bit mellower? You’ll
be happy to know that Oasis released a new album,
Dig Out Your Soul, in October.
Still not The Right Stu for you? Good news! The
New Kids on the Block are all grown up and back
together—and performing live in a venue near you!
On screen: To see hot adults playing spoiled
teenagers, tune in to the new 90210 on C W. The
storyline has changed completely. The kids that just
moved to the famous ZIP code are from St. Louis,
not Minneapolis, and one of them is adopted!
If the new 90210 still doesn’t provide enough
skin for you, check out the new American Gladia-
tors on NBC. It’s just like the old show but with
cooler outfits and a larger pot to win. There’s
nothing like watching women who could
kick anyone’s butt.
