CONTRIBUTORS
Mark Follman
Mark Follman, a writer and
editor in San Francisco, has
covered politics and arts
and entertainment for more
than a decade. His work has
appeared in publications including Salon, Rolling Stone,
Der Spiegel and the Toronto
Star. Follman profiled actor
Ricky Gervais for a recent
issue of Arrive.
Chris Whetzel
Chris Whetzel has always
loved to draw. He recalls creating crude portraits of family
members when he was 3 or 4
years old. The doodles in textbooks and on his arms continued through high school to
Philadelphia’s University of the
Arts. Currently a freelance illustrator in Beacon, N. Y., Whetzel
channels his years of city life
(surrounded by mischief, graffiti
and punk rock) into a unique
artistic voice.
Peter Murphy
Peter Murphy has photographed for Time, Wired,
GQ, The New York Times
and other publications.
For this issue of Arrive, he
photographed Lin-Manuel
Miranda on the newly renovated stage of the Tony
winner’s alma mater, Hunter
College High School.
Heather Johnson
Heather Johnson is an entertainment industry veteran.
She has written for a number
of television networks and
co-authored two editions of
The Dinner & A Movie Cookbook. Covering this year’s best
Broadway shows was a dream
assignment for the lifelong
theater lover. “I grew up in West
Texas dreaming of life in glamorous New York, and Broadway
was a big part of the fantasy.”
