He is also author of Inside
Steve’s Brain, The New York
Times-bestselling business
biography of Steve Jobs, and
Cult of Mac, a bestselling book
about Apple fans. Kahney used
to be the editor of Wired.com,
and is a veteran technology
reporter. For this issue of Arrive,
he wrote the cover story on
the Northeast’s flourishing tech
industry (p. 38).
Leif Parsons is an illustrator
and artist who has been published by many editorial and
commercial clients, including
Harpers, McSweeney’s and
Nike, and he does a weekly
illustration for The New York
Times. In his work, he tries to
find the line between looseness and tightness, between
deliberate idea and spontaneous expression, between
observation and imagination.

photographer who has shot
editorials for international magazines such as Plaza, SOMA,
The Ritz-Carlton Magazine,
Culture and LA’G. He never
takes himself too seriously and
loves to goof around. For this
issue of Arrive, Kidd photographed the craft beers in
Cocktail (p. 78).
