National Train Day
On May 8, Amtrak celebrated its third
annual National Train Day with celebrations
in Washington, D. C., Philadelphia, Chicago
and Los Angeles. The party began at New
York’s Penn Station, when spokesman Taye
Diggs boarded a train for D.C.

The blockbuster exhibition
“Cleopatra: The Search for
the Last Queen of Egypt,”
currently on display at the
Franklin Institute, enjoyed a
gala opening June 3, and
attendees got into the act.
Celebrants donned Pharaonic
attire and nemes headdresses,
and reveled in bringing ancient
