The light-filled art of the great French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir took off in new directions during the last 30 years of his life. Witness his remarkable achievements in this acclaimed international traveling exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, presenting 80 paintings, drawings, and sculptures by the master displayed with works of the younger talents he inspired, including Matisse, Picasso, Bonnard and others. Home to a world-renowned collection of modern and contemporary art, plus special exhibitions that are always significant and intriguing, the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed landmark is itself a masterpiece. Now through Sept. 6, explore themes of memory, loss and the return to the past in “Haunted: Contemporary Photography/Video/Performance.” The exhibition features 100 works by 60 artists from Marina Abramovic to Andy Warhol.
