Walk into Max Brenner, Chocolate by the Bald Man around
dinnertime and you may see a young couple on a date
sharing a Melting Chocolate Truffle Heart Cake. Elsewhere,
a group of graduate students sit around a big wooden
table and giddily indulges in Choctails and Chocolate
Chunks Pizzas, thin layers of pastry topped with melting
chocolate chunks, bananas and roasted marshmallows.
All around them, parents and young
children occasionally pause to wipe
the brown stuff off their faces before
tucking in for more.
This diverse group of diners is all
part of Max Brenner’s vision—no one
