Shakespeare classics at the Boston University
Theatre. The performances could not be more
disparate in story and theme, presenting both
the Bard’s most villainous villain and his most
ambitious farce. Richard III, a historical play,
is all about sibling rivalry, jealousy, political
ambition and revenge at its ugliest and most
clever. We learn just how far a brother slips
into darkness to gain power during the Wars
of the Roses, a pivotal time in British history.
