A Taste of Virginia
The Virginia Governor’s Cup for Red Wines was awarded in Richmond Feb. 25 to Fox Meadow Winery at the third annual Virginia
Wine Expo. First Lady Maureen McDonnell presented the award,
which was for the winery’s Le Renard Rouge, a Cabernet Franc and
Merlot blend. More than 60 wineries served up more than 350 wines
during the weekend event,
which included tastings
and seminars such as “East
Meets Virginia: Sushi & Virginia Wine,” “Best Wines with
Burgers” and “Big Reds, Rich
Whites and Bold Cheeses.”
