This newly opened hotel happens to be the
biggest renovation project in Rhode Island
history. The landmark in question? A 1927
neoclassical masonic temple that has been
carefully transformed into a gorgeously bright
and eclectic full-service hotel. Color plays a
major role here, juxtaposed against gleaming
white walls and floors. Everything here feels
timeless and worldly, from the soaring columns
out front to the stone fireplace in the lounge.
Prior to the hotel’s renovation, the building was
a favorite canvas for grafitti artists. Perhaps
taking the preservation to a whole new level,
the restaurant features works from some of
those very same artists in mural form—talk
about old-meets-new. Rooms from $239
