Leander Kahney is the editor of Cultofmac.com, a website devoted to Apple and its fans. He is also author of Inside Steve’s Brain, The New York Times-bestselling business biography of Steve Jobs, and Cult of Mac, a bestselling book about Apple fans. Kahney used to be the editor of Wired.com, and is a veteran technology reporter. For this issue of Arrive, he wrote the cover story on the Northeast’s flourishing tech industry (p. 38).

Leif Parsons is an illustrator and artist who has been published by many editorial and commercial clients, including Harpers, McSweeney’s and Nike, and he does a weekly illustration for The New York Times. In his work, he tries to find the line between looseness and tightness, between deliberate idea and spontaneous expression, between observation and imagination. Parsons illustrated this issue’s cover and cover story.

Michele Meyer would have been committed in childhood if there was rehab for fashion. The daughter of a retailer, she was reading Women’s Wear Daily by age 10. She has since covered Paris, Milan, New York and Los Angeles runways, and written fashion and retail stories for Travel + Leisure, WWD and The Ritz-Carlton Magazine.

Billy Kidd is an emerging photographer who has shot editorials for international magazines such as Plaza, SOMA, The Ritz-Carlton Magazine, Culture and LA’G. He never takes himself too seriously and loves to goof around. For this issue of Arrive, Kidd photographed the craft beers in Cocktail (p. 78).
