Queen Esther at the
Waldorf-Astoria
The Jewish Museum in Manhattan hosted a “Surreal Soirée” at
the Waldorf-Astoria to celebrate
Purim, the “madcap” Jewish
holiday. The black-and-white ball
was catered by BLT Restaurants’
Laurent Tourondel, and the decor
inspired by the artist Man Ray.
Curb Your Enthusiasm’s resident
hothead Susie Essman performed
in a special play she wrote for
the event about Queen Esther.
