MacArthur Fellowship winner, and a runner-up for the
Pulitzer Prize. She currently
co-stars on the Showtime hit
series Nurse Jackie. She stars
in her latest play, Let Me Down
Easy, at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., Dec. 31 through
Feb. 13.
Doris Kearns Goodwin, a
fixture on Sunday morning
news shows, won a Pulitzer
Prize for her book No Ordinary
Time: Franklin and Eleanor
Roosevelt: The Home Front
in World War II. Her follow-up,
Wait Till Next Year, chronicled
her beloved Brooklyn Dodgers.
Most recently, she authored
Team of Rivals: The Political
Genius of Abraham Lincoln.
Michele Norris, cohost of
National Public Radio’s All
Things Considered, is the
author of The Grace of Silence:
A Memoir. She was chosen
in 2009 as Journalist of the
Year by the National Association of Black Journalists. As a
correspondent for ABC News
from 1993 to 2002, she earned
Emmy and Peabody awards
for her contribution to the network’s 9/11 reporting. Norris lives
in Washington, D.C., with her
husband and children.
Aaron Kotowski specializes
in advertising and editorial
photography. He has a BFA
from Rochester Institute of
Technology, and his photography has won numerous
awards, most recently from
Communication Arts and the
Art Directors Club. For this
issue of Arrive, Kotowski
photographed “The Amazing
Taste” food story (page 80) on
the best tapas restaurants in
New York City.
