Boston’s Works of Art

For the past t wo decades, I’ve been fortunate to
make my living as a travel writer and filmmaker. If I’m not
on a train, plane or traveling by automobile, I’m at home
watching images float by on a screen. You could say I lead a
life of perpetual motion. I simply believe that being static
is stultifying. so the thought of visiting an art museum to
look at an object—often centuries old and having
no relevance to the electrifying rush of modernity—is not exactly my idea of a good time.
pardon the pun, but it doesn’t move me.
