experience in criminal law. Mr. Tilem spent the first ten years of his
career as a prosecutor working for New York County (Manhattan)
District Attorney, Robert Morgenthau prosecuting a wide variety of
criminal cases including complex and high profile felonies. Mr. Tilem
was also appointed to the homicide chart and received training in
investigating and prosecuting homicides as well as the use of DNA
and other forensic evidence. Mr. Tilem was also appointed to the
Firearms Trafficking Unit where he was involved in the investigation
and prosecution of all types of gun and weapons related crime including complex gun trafficking conspiracies. After leaving the District
Attorney’s Office, Mr. Tilem began the private practice of criminal
defense and immediately brought his energy to bear in the defense
of complex and high profile criminal cases. In 2004, together with
his law partner John Campbell, Mr. Tilem founded the law firm of
Tilem & Campbell on the principle of providing exceptional, aggressive representation and superior client service. The law firm of Tilem
