Notable events along the Acela line
President Bill Clinton presided over the
annual Clinton Global Initiative conference Sept. 20–22 in New York City. Since
its inception in 2005, the CGI has brought
together hundreds of world leaders, Nobel
Prize laureates, philanthropists and others
to help alleviate poverty, create a cleaner
environment, and increase access to
healthcare and education. This year’s
meeting focused on job generation,
sustainable consumption for our planet,
and “What Works” for girls and women.
