InfieldFest, an all-day party in
Pimlico’s infield, features two
stages, with Grammy-nominated
Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa headlining on the main stage. Revelers
also have a chance to enjoy a wide
variety of foods from Maryland
restaurants and purveyors, with
an emphasis on regional favorites
such as crab cakes.
In recent years, Pimlico
has worked to strike a balance
bet ween a sporting event steeped
in tradition and what has become
known as “The People’s Party”
in the infield. This year, Chuckas
believes they’ve got it just right.
“With the talent, the acts and
what I assume is going to be a very
good horse race,” he says, “I think
we’re going to deliver what our
guests want.” preakness.com.
