Food and wine festivals are a staple of the fall
season, so the announcement of a new culinary
event may not set ablaze the hearts of many
food lovers. But the Mid-Atlantic Food + Wine
Feast, which takes place Feb. 23–26 at several
private homes and the Hotel du Pont and benefits the venerable Delaware Theatre Company,

World-class chefs and winemakers from
around the globe join forces with local talents to provide three multicourse meals for
a select group of diners at private homes
in the Brandy wine Valley, Feb. 23 and 24.
Guests also can take part in one of three
wine events Feb. 25, including a “ 1,000-
point tasting” featuring 10 100-point
wines—the equivalent of the World Series
or Kentucky Derby for wine aficionados.
The Food + Wine Feast comes to a close
Feb. 26 with a Sunday brunch featuring gospel music, a silent auction, and 80 wines for
the tasting. The lavish weekend is all part of
an attempt to establish a world-class event in
the mid-Atlantic region.
